The tree plantation program was held in DTEA Lodi Estate. The first tree was planted by Ms Bansuri Swaraj ( Member of Parliament)and BJP president Sri Virendra Sachdeva in the school garden.

 

The prize distribution function of Dtea Schools Tamil Literary Forum was celebrated at Lodi Estate School on 4th May, Saturday.170 prizes were awarded to students for various competitions, including Elocution and Memory Retention competitions, conducted during the last academic year in all the seven Tamil schools. Following the prize distribution function, a colourful cultural programme was presented by the students of seven Tamil schools, highlighting the pride of Tamil language and Tamil Nadu.In this function, Dtea Schools Secretary Mr. Raju, Joint Secretary Mr.Shunmuga Vadivel, Joint Secretaries of seven schools, Members of Executive Committee, Secretary of Banyan-MEA DTEA Alumni Association(BANYAN) Mr. Sukumar, Principals of seven schools and parents participated.

 

 

The Banyan-MEA DTEA Alumni Association organised a Nukkad Natak competition for the students of Dtea Schools on 20th April,2024 at the initiative of the Dtea Schools Secy,👍 Shri Raju Ramaswamy👍 .The topic was "Harmful Effect of Single Use Plastics" and the competition was held at DTEA,Mandir Marg.🙂🫶 DTEA Lodhi Estate,🙂🫶 Mandir Marg and🙂🫶 Pusa Road won the 1st, 2nd and the 3rd position respectively

 

Siddha Clinical Research Unit at Safdarjung Hospital held a seminar at DTEA Sr. Sec School, Lodhi Estate on 31/10/2023. The event focused on Swachta Pakhwada and aimed to raise cleanliness awareness among students. Dr. J. Nikhil MD(S) and Dr. Sri Devi M.D(S), both research associates, along with Siddha Therapist Mr. Balram Singh, conducted the seminar

CENTENARY INAUGRATION

DTEA is celebrating its Centenary year in 2023. To mark this propitious occasion a grand inauguration ceremony was held on 22nd of February, 2023 at Indira Gandhi stadium, New Delhi. The versatile actor Mr. SarathKumar was invited as chief guest. Famous alumni and retired teachers were venerated during this event. This was followed by a grand cultural programme by DTEA students and teachers. The stadium was filled with esteemed spectators.

 

COMMENCEMENT POOJA FOR CENTENARY

 

A special Homam ceremony was conducted in DTEA Sr. Sec school, Mandir Marg - the first MEA/DTEA of the capital,  on  February 16, 2023 to invoke the choicest blessings of The Almighty as an inception to flag off the Centenary celebration and also to bless all the members of the Dtea Schools family.The celestial Homam was performed religiously with a divine fervour by Shri. Harihara Vadhyar and group. Shri. R. Sathiya Sundaram IPS  - Additional Commissioner Traffic was the Guest of the day and initiated the ceremony with the lighting of traditional lamp. The official Flag bearers of Delhi Tamil Sangam- President Shri. Sakthi Perumal, General Secretary Shri. Mukundan   and Vice President Shri. Raghavan Naidu were also the Guests of this auspicious day along with Delhi Tamil Nadu House Additional Resident Commissioner Shri. N. E. Chinnadurai. Hon'y Secretary Shri. Raju Ramaswamy members of DTEA and Academic Director DTEA Ms. Chitra Radhakrishnan honoured the guests with Angavastirams  and Tulsi saplings as a token of respect HoS Mandir Marg Ms Jayashree Prasad welcomed all the Principals, Vice principals and In- charges of all DTEA schools with Tulsi saplings as a sacred token of love & respect for her esteemed colleagues. This yajna is viewed as a first auspicious step towards the centenary celebration inauguration which is 7 days away on February 22, 2023.
This auspicious programme culminated with poornaahuti offered in  the Homa Kund by the dignitaries while chanting the sacred mantras which created an ambience of spirituality and sanctity.  Prasad was also distributed at the end.
