The school has a double storeyed building with broad staircases for easy movement, and with a small abode for Goddess Saraswati in the ground floor and a very big playground within the campus and a well maintained herbal garden.The premises also encompass the DTEA head office.Separate hygienic toilets for girls and boys with proper water facilities; provision of Aqua-guards to provide purified drinking water and ensuring the maintenance of cleanliness and hygiene by the house-keeping staff are the highlights of the school. The laboratories for Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Languages, and Mathematics are well-equipped to meet the required standards.
The class rooms are endowed with Digital board facility, in order to cater to the latest trend in teaching and also to stand globally competent,with the help of state-of-the-art technology, bringing the glimpses of tomorrow's education to us today. This Digital White Board, goes a long way in imparting subjects with a new pedagogy.
Besides Security Guards and Hi Tech Access systems (Bio-metric) for teachers and staff , the school, a good number of surveillance CCTVs are installed with due consideration of the safety, security issues and disciplinary aspects of the students.Fire extinguishers are placed in various spots in the premises.
The school has a well stocked junior library and a senior library, with an impressive index of titles, covering fiction and non-fiction, resource and reference books, dailies and magazines. Our rich collection of books is updated regularly and students are encouraged to make full use of this facility to develop a love for books from an early age.
For all the technical gadgets; computers and lab equipments and also for lights and fans, a great amount of electricity is very much indispensable. Of late, we have reverted to using a new technology for electric power by installing a 10 KV Solar Power Plant in our school. This not only fulfils the total electricity needs of the school but also provides it at a very low cost.
Besides a big well-maintained play ground for outdoor games such as football and cricket, there are playing courts for tennis and basket ball.There is adequate space for indoor games as well, which help in the physical and mental development of students.
A separate play area for young children is also allocated in our school, which have swings, seesaws, and slides. This area is securely encompassed with railings to provide a safe atmosphere for our tiny tots.
The need for safe passage of each child to school and back home is of paramount importance to us. To ensure this, a fleet of buses are plying to various destinations each displaying its respective ‘Route Number’ allotted to it. We have some buses exclusively for girls. The security staff and teachers ensure that the students board the buses comfortably and safely.
The automated bell system installed in our school is a digitised and pre-programmed device to ring automatically with voice message as well,at regular intervals to mark assembly,the beginning and conclusion of class periods, lunch intervals etc.
The Biometric time tracking device is installed in our school to mark the attendance electronically. The teachers and staff of the school mark their attendance by placing the finger on the finger- print reading slot. The data of the arrival and departure details of teachers and staff can be retrieved from this system, as and when required.
The Midday Meal Scheme was initiated by the Government of India to promote education to school children with the provision of midday meal (from 1st to 8th classes) in all Government and Government aided primary schools. Under this scheme every child should be served a prepared Midday Meal having a minimum of 300 calories and 8-12 gram protein per day for a minimum of 200 days in a year. In our school, the midday meal supplied by the cooking centres is served on all working days.Periodic Kitchen visits are made by the midday meal Incharges of our school to ensure the hygiene and quality of the food.
Our school has developed a unique activity room under ‘Varsha Project’ for the primary children.This activity room is well-equipped with Audio Visual aids for learning through play-way methods.It is also endowed with various equipments for developing sharp reflexive motor skills. Besides playing with the toys, the tiny tots can also watch cartoon movies; educational videos; power points rhymes etc
